South West Ireland

5th to 14th November 2027 (Sold Out)

During this ten-day tour we will photograph the spectacular landscape scenery along the coastline of southwest Ireland. We will be photographing dramatic cliffs, rock arches, sea stacks, ancient monuments, lighthouses, sand dunes, harbours, estuaries and much more during this workshop! We will use many different techniques during this tour, and I will explain how to find compositions within the landscape. At this time of the year, I hope we’ll be blessed with some dramatic light and perhaps some stormy conditions on the coast. We will be based close to the Dingle Peninsula for five nights, positioned so that we also have the option for a day trip to The Burren and with easy access to the Ring of Kerry and Killarney National Park. We will also stay on the Beara Peninsula for two nights and along the Copper Coast for a further two nights, enabling us to explore the many headlands, peninsulas and islands in this beautiful region of Ireland.

Day one: Arrive in Rosslare. Drive to our first hotel on The Copper Coast east of Cork. Evening photography session along the dramatic Copper coast.
Day two: Early start for a sunrise along the Copper Coast, then drive west to our main base near the Dingle Peninsula.
Day three to seven: Explore the Dingle Peninsula, Ring of Kerry and Killarney National Park. There may also be a day trip to The Burren. Although many of the locations will be coastal, I’m hoping there will still be some autumn colour and the chance of a few misty sunrises inland.
Day eight: Tour around the beautiful Beara Peninsula.
Day nine: Another early start to head back along the Copper Coast for a final sunrise shoot. Overnight on the Copper Coast.
Day ten: After a sunrise shoot along the Copper Coast, we head back to Rosslare in time to catch the ferry back to Fishguard.

At this time of the year there is always the chance of ferry disruption, so I suggest leaving a day or two free after 14th just in case our return journey is delayed.
