Cornwall Landscape Workshop
7th to 10th May 2024 (Sold Out)
My Cornwall workshops are based close to the town of Hayle. Over the course of the workshop we will explore various locations on both the north and south coast of the peninsula all the way down to Land's End. Expect to photograph lighthouses, sandy beaches, rocky coves, fishing villages, ancient monuments and coastal close-ups. We will also attempt some "painting with torchlight" techniques after sunset. The exact locations chosen will depend upon the weather conditions at the time.
Each workshop begins at midday on the first day and ends after sunset on the final day. There will be two and a half days of photography in total. We will always try to make best use of the nice light around sunrise and sunset (weather permitting), so be prepared for long days out in the field. We normally have a short break back at the hotel in the middle of the day when the light is harsh. This provides time to review images and run through a few Photoshop techniques. I will demonstrate some of the techniques that I use in my own landscape photography; such as hyperfocal focussing and focus-bracketing for front to back sharpness and exposure bracketing and blending to control contrast in sunrise and sunset shots. Although this is one of my shorter workshops, it always seem much longer due to the wide variety of subjects we cover.
