During this workshop we will be photographing some of the most picturesque landscape scenery in the UK. At this time of the year the foliage will be golden, making this the ideal time to photograph the Brecon Beacon’s famous waterfalls. Hopefully we will also get changeable weather with impressive clouds and dramatic light. This is also a great time for atmospheric misty mornings. We will be photographing mountain and moorland, rivers and waterfalls, patterns in the landscape, trees and woodland, spectacular coastline, sandy beaches, lighthouses and much more during this workshop! Along with the Brecon Beacons National Park we will also be working on the Gower peninsula and the dramatic Glamorgan coast. I will demonstrate techniques such as painting with light, using long exposures and how to find compositions within the landscape. Image critique sessions will be carried out as required and when time permits. Photoshop techniques will be discussed and demonstrated during any periods of poor weather or light. We will be photographing from dawn to dusk so expect long days out in the field. This trip involves a litle more walking than most of my workshops, nothing too extreme but please bear in mind that this is a hilly region!
We will have six full days of photography starting on the Saturday morning and finishing on the Thursday evening. You can arrive on Friday evening and depart the following Friday morning. Participants will travel in my 4X4 vehicle during the workshop.
