Nature
Natural history photography encompasses a hugely diverse range of subjects, many of which require specialised techniques or equipment in order to capture a striking image. The main requirement, however, is a good knowledge and understanding of that subject. Here is a selection of images from my collection showing mammals, reptiles, amphibians, insects and wildflowers from around the world.
Eurasian Lynx (Lynx Lynx), Finland
Leopard (Panthera pardus), Khwai, Botswana, Africa
Apollo (Parnassius apollo) on Viper’s-bugloss (Echium vulgare), Bulgaria

Marsh Frog (Pelophylax ridibundus), Danube Delta, Bulgaria
Fire salamander (Salamandra salamandra) on mossy rocks alongside forest stream, Bulgaria
Spoonwing lacewing (Nemoptera sinuata), Bulgaria
